Scenery for Sore Eyes

The name of this trip says it all! The day consists of three jaw-dropping lookouts, two insane waterfalls (including the widest single-drop waterfall in Australia!), the most majestic tree you will ever see, and the famous volcanically formed crater lake!

First up is Heales Lookout, which is situated in the middle of the Gillies Highway, famous for its 263 corners and 800-meter elevation! Then it’s a straight 1.5-hour drive all the way down to Tully Falls Lookout. This is easily one of the most impressive you will see, as it plunges 300 meters down into the gorge of the mighty Tully River. The last scenic lookout is the actual definition of #viewsfordays… You’ll see!

Next on the agenda is Little and Big Millstream Falls (you’ll have to come along and take a guess at which is the widest in Australia!), followed by a scenic drive to one of the largest trees in Queensland for some Jurassic-looking photos. At over a century old, the Curtain Fig Tree is a unique example of nature’s unpredictability and power!

Then we hop back on the bus and head a few minutes up the road to Lake Eacham, a serene teal crater lake in the middle of the wet tropics. Eat, relax, and play in our funky Chill-Out Zone, have a swim, and take in the lush green rainforest views surrounding you!
